About the Founder
During my 11th year of teaching, I faced an unforeseen professional challenge in the form of an evaluation outcome that raised some concerns. In response, I collected evidence from various points throughout the year, creating a portfolio that highlighted both my achievements and those of my students.This documentation not only led to a reassessment by my principal, prompting a revision of some initial ratings, but it also underscored the significance of advocating for my professional accomplishments and ensuring they reach the hands of the administration.
As I transitioned to the administrative side of things a few years later, I encountered several processes that became very time-consuming. I found myself making numerous copies of documents, saving files across multiple locations, sending frequent reminders via email, and creating long paper trails. Gradually, these tasks began to consume a substantial portion of my day, diminishing the time I had hoped to allocate towards developing educators and investing in students. This realization reinforced the pressing need I had for a more streamlined approach to handling administrative tasks so that I could focus more on the people in my care and less on managing procedural tasks.
Challenges such as these served as the catalyst for the inception of FolioBridge.
Our desire is to provide administrators with the essential tools needed to manage, provide feedback, collaborate, and support their teaching staff effectively. We also aim to provide educators with a platform to narrate their teaching journey, showcasing their experiences, accomplishments, and sharing their impact.
This endeavor was born out of a personal desire to have such a valuable asset during my time both as a classroom educator and later as an administrator. I strongly believe that FolioBridge can make a significant difference in the lives of educators, the success of educational organizations, and their students. I genuinely hope that FolioBridge can become a part of your story, helping you achieve your goals and make a positive impact on your students and school community.
