FolioBridge Web App Privacy Policy
Last updated May 13, 2026
Stark Educational Solutions, LLC, DBA FolioBridge (“Company” or “We”), respects your privacy and is committed to protecting it through our compliance with this policy. This policy describes the types of information we may collect from you or that you may provide when you use the FolioBridge web application and our practices for collecting, using, maintaining, protecting, and disclosing that information.
1. Scope and Applicability
This policy applies to information we collect through the FolioBridge web application, on websites or pages that host or describe FolioBridge, and in email, text, and other electronic communications relating to FolioBridge.
This policy applies to information we collect directly through FolioBridge and to information provided by schools, districts, employers, administrators, and other organizations using FolioBridge on behalf of their personnel.
When a school, district, employer, or other organization has a separate written agreement, student data privacy agreement, data processing addendum, or similar contract with us, that agreement may contain additional privacy, security, retention, deletion, or data-use terms. If there is a conflict between this policy and that agreement, the agreement controls for the information covered by that agreement.
This policy does not apply to information collected offline or through any other means not directly associated with FolioBridge, or to third-party websites, applications, content, or services, including those provided by Google, Microsoft, school systems, district systems, or other third parties that may link to or be accessible from FolioBridge.
2. Children Under the Age of 16
FolioBridge is intended for professional, educational, administrative, and organizational use. To the extent FolioBridge processes information about students or minors, we do so for educational, administrative, portfolio, credentialing, workflow, support, security, or organization-authorized purposes. We do not knowingly use student personal information for targeted advertising, cross-context behavioral advertising, or unrelated commercial profiling, and we do not sell student personal information.
If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child in a manner that violates applicable law, we will take reasonable steps to delete that information or handle it as directed by the applicable school, district, parent, guardian, or other authorized organization.

FolioBridge’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not use Google user data for advertising, do not sell Google user data, and do not use Google user data to develop, improve, or train generalized artificial intelligence or machine learning models.

When FolioBridge receives education records, student personal information, or other school data from or on behalf of a school or district, we process that information as a service provider for the school or district and use it only to provide, maintain, secure, support, or improve FolioBridge, or as otherwise directed or authorized by the school, district, parent, guardian, eligible student, or applicable law.

FolioBridge may process information that is subject to federal and state student privacy laws, including the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), the Protection of Pupil Rights Amendment (PPRA), and state student data privacy laws where they apply.
For school-provided student information, the school or district is generally responsible for determining whether it has obtained any required consent or has another legal basis to provide the information to FolioBridge. Where a school or district treats FolioBridge as a school official or authorized service provider, we process the information under that school or district’s direction and for legitimate educational, administrative, or operational interests.
We do not knowingly sell student data, use student data for targeted advertising, create student profiles for unrelated commercial purposes, or disclose student data except to authorized users, the controlling school or district, service providers bound to support FolioBridge, legal or safety recipients when required or permitted by law, or as otherwise directed by the school or district.
Parents, guardians, and eligible students who want to access, correct, delete, or restrict school-controlled student information should contact the applicable school or district. We will reasonably support the school or district in responding to such requests as required by applicable law or contract.
